We use various types of domestic and exotic woods for our cutting boards and charcuterie boards our main species of wood is Walnut, Cherry, Maple (Hard, Curly and Birdseye), Mahogany and Hickory. When it comes to exotic species of wood, we use Wenge, Padauk, Zebra, Purple Heart, Sapele
After each cutting board is finished it goes into a Food Grade/Food safe mineral oil bath. We also offer other styles of finishes to help with lower maintenance and easier cleanup.
We offer a custom blend of food grade mineral oil and food grade organic beeswax mixture to help keep your cutting board conditioned.
just apply after 2 to 3 uses let stand for 15 minutes and wipe off the excess with a clean microfiber cloth.
Never soak your cutting board. and never put your board in the dishwasher. When you are done using your cutting board wash it with warm water and soap, immediately dry your board and let stand on its side to dry. failing to do this can cause your wood board to warp.
We do not recommend using a knife on a board that has been epoxied as the knife will easily score the surface and possibly remove fibers from the epoxied surface that can come embedded into your food.
